Thanks to my friend Pat for showing me this short by Wong Fu Productions on Friday. It's been out for several months now so you may have seen it already. The film is about a geek who is invited to a nightclub by the girl of his dreams. Having never been to a club before, he asks his "cool" friends for a few pointers about clubbing, and they do their best to train him for his date....
"Up In Da Club" is just a really well put together short. It's got humour, drama, romance, and great music. Behind all of the funny antics, there's actually a lot of truth to what the guys say. There's definitely some good advice in there for rookie club goers. I also found the main character quite easy to empathize with, plus I kinda dig the cute accountant ;) .
